Design for a navigator that Newt would use to inspect his creature habitats- like a celestial dome- JKR thought it was too complicated for Newt.
Inspired by 19thC wild west shows. Painted backing is careworn and everything looks handmade and bashed together .
Artificial sun and it's satellites provide moody lighting - i like the weirdness of the sun pushing through the branches
Artifiical moon closes to quarter moon at Newt's command
